What we collect, why, who else sees it, how long we keep it, and how to make us delete it.
What this service is, what it is not, and what nobody can honestly promise you about an answer a language model wrote.
FirstRoundKO helps you think through a conversation about pay: what you are worth, what to say, and how the other side is likely to answer. That is preparation and practice.
It is not legal, financial, tax, immigration, accounting or employment-law advice, and it is not a substitute for a qualified professional in your jurisdiction. If your situation has legal consequences — a contract dispute, a discrimination question, a visa condition, a collective agreement — talk to somebody qualified to advise on it.
Nothing you read here or in the product creates a professional relationship of any kind.
The answers are produced by a language model. A language model can state something confidently that is not true, misread a situation it was given, or write a sentence that would land badly with the particular person you are facing.
It can also be wrong about the world: about your local law, about what is customary in your industry, and about what a specific employer will do. Treat every answer as a draft from an informed colleague, not as a fact.
Check anything that matters before you act on it — your contract, your local employment rules, and any number that a decision depends on.
It has no live salary database. When it gives you a number it is reasoning from what you told it, and when it does not have enough to reason with, it is supposed to say so and ask rather than invent one.
If it ever hands you a figure with no basis, that is a defect in the product and we would like to hear about it — that is a bug report we will act on.
We cannot promise that you will get the raise, the offer or the title. A negotiation depends on facts we do not control: your employer's budget, the market, the timing, and the person across the table.
What the product is for is making sure that what you say is prepared, specific and defensible. That improves your position. It does not guarantee the result.
You decide what to ask for and what to accept, and you are responsible for what you say. Rehearsing an answer is practice, not a script you are obliged to follow.
If an answer would have you claim something untrue about your performance or your alternatives, do not say it. Bluffing is not a strategy we recommend, and it is not one this product is designed to support.
Tell us at the address on the Contact page. A confidently wrong answer is the most useful bug report we can receive, and the Disclaimer is not an excuse for it — it is a description of where the limits are.
